Harry Potter Broadway Musical NYC 2018-2019 Season. Magic on Broadway: ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ Arrives in the U.S.
When the Harry Potter books first came out in 1997, children fell in love with the world created by J.K. Rowling. After seven novels and eight movies, both children and adult fans still can’t get enough of Harry, Hermione and Ron. The world is in for a treat because Rowling has now penned a stage play with Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. It’s been thrilling audiences in London’s West End, and it’s coming to the United States.

Broadway is proud to support Harry Potter and the Cursed Child parts I and II in its run during the spring of 2018. The story follows Harry as he raises his family of three children along with his wife, Ginny. Tragedy and intrigue are never far from Harry, however, as the story continues with his youngest son, Albus, and the boy’s struggles.

Fans of the Broadway stage will be intrigued by this particular show because of its two parts. Schedules haven’t been announced, but parts I and II are designed to be seen closely after one another. You might try a back-to-back performance of both parts in one day. It’s possible that Broadway might divide the parts over two nights so that patrons can be fresh for each section.

It’s unclear if the West End cast will follow the play across the pond. Most likely, you’ll see cast announcements coming soon. Broadway’s Lyric Theater has confirmed that they’ll support the play when it arrives in New York City. The spring 2018 season looks to be a busy one with several plays opening up around the same time.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child parts I and II has won several awards for the West End production. Broadway awaits the magic and fun that only J.K. Rowling can provide as Harry Potter comes alive one more time.
