Saint Joan Broadway – all information & schedule 2018.
Saint Joan, an epic work by George Bernard Shaw, is revived on Broadway this year, opening April 25 at the Samuel J Friedman Theater. Starring three time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, it’s an incredibly powerful piece of theater set in fifteenth century France, recounting the story of Joan of Arc, a peasant girl turned warrior who believed that God had chosen her to help drive the English out of the country. Although she fast gained popularity and status, she was tried and executed for heresy after the country’s leaders began to believe she held too much power. A stark and moving dramatic piece, Saint Joan is a must-see.
